STATEMENT OF WORK For the Provision of United Nations Diplomatic Pouch Bags  

Introduction: 

1. The United Nations (hereafter the “UN”) through this Invitation to Bid (ITB) seeks to establish  a non-exclusive contract with a qualified company for the Provision of UN Diplomatic Pouch  Bags. The anticipated duration of the Contract is three years, with the option to extend for  two (2) additional one year periods (i.e. a total of five years), at UN’s sole discretion,  subject to satisfactory performance by the Contractor and within the agreed terms and  conditions of the resulting contract.  Specifications for UN Diplomatic Pouch Bags   

   
   

2.  Two options (Type 2A and 2B) of four (4) different sizes of pouch bags shall be considered  under this ITB. The estimated yearly order quantities for different sizes and types of the pouch  bags are listed below. Please note that the UN does not guarantee maximum or minimum  order. 3. Important Note:  - The figures above are just estimates. The actual order and usage may be higher or lower  than these figures.

   - Item 1 pouch bag has its own specifications while Item 2, 3 and 4 pouch bags have the same  basic specifications except the size.

   - The different types of the pouch bags allow the UN to exercise its option to purchase the pouch bags of waterproof and/or non-waterproof  material.  Specifications for Item 1 Pouch Bag

   - Size: Item 1 bag: 24” L x 20” W. + 0.5 inch is acceptable.

   - Material: Must be washable heavy-duty nylon, heat set and scoured.

   
   

4. The finished bags must be  strong enough to hold minimum 20 pounds of materials (packages, boxes) and durable for  repeated usage.

   a. Option 1: Type 2A: Non-waterproof material.

   b. Option 2: Type 2B: Waterproof material.

   
   

5. Colour: must be white.

   
   

6.  Two (2) Heavy duty rolled rim edge metal eyelet grommets with inner diameter between 3/8"  and 1/2" sewn to the top left upper corner about ½” from the side edge and top edge. The nylon  where the grommets are sewn must be reinforced by a nylon strip.  

   
   

  7. Heavy duty zipper on the 24” opening side.  

  8. Heavy duty metal zipper pull (tab) with a grommet inner diameter of minimum 3/8''. 

  9. The zipper pull tab must be at the metal eyelet grommets side at its fully zipped/closed position. 

 10. Text and logo on front (printed by means of water/wash proof blue ink by silk screening  sublimation process in 3” height letters.
