Development of FIBC bulk bags

Development of FIBC

At beginning, China’s FIBC bags are mainly exported to Japan and South Korea, and are vigorously developing markets in the Middle East, Africa, the United States and Europe. Due to the production of oil and cement, the Middle East has a great demand for FIBC products; in Africa, almost all of its state-owned oil companies mainly develop plastic woven products, and there is also a large demand for these bags. Africa can accept the quality and grade of China's packaging bags, so there is no major problem in opening the market in Africa. The United States and Europe have high requirements for the quality of FIBC bags, and China's bag quality has improved much to fulfill the requirement.

The quality of the FIBC is very important. Therefore, the international market has its own strict standards for these packing products. The focus of the standard varies. Japan pays attention to details, Australia pays attention to form, and the European Community standards pay attention to product performance and technical indicators, concise. The United States and Europe have strict requirements for FIBCs in terms of anti-ultraviolet, anti-aging, and SWL & safety factors.

"Safety factor" is the ratio between the maximum bearing capacity of the product and the rated design load. It mainly depends on whether there are any abnormalities in the contents and the bag body, and whether the joint is damaged or not. In similar standards in domestic and abroad, the safety factor is generally set at 5:1 and 6:1. FIBC products with five times the safety factor can be used safely. It is an indisputable fact that if the anti-ultraviolet additives are added, the application range of the FIBC will be wider and the competition will be stronger.

When the sling loops are sewn to the bag body, there are various forms: top sewing, bottom sewing, side sewing, etc. With the high strength of the sling alone, the body fabric and suture cannot reach a certain strength, and the overall high performance of the container bag cannot be ensured.

FIBC bags are mainly used for loading bulk granular or powdery items, and the physical density and looseness of the contents have significantly different effects on the overall results. As for the basis for judging the performance of the FIBC, it is necessary to use the product as close as possible to the product to be loaded by the customer. This is the "standard filler for testing" written in the standard. As far as possible, the technical standards should be used to meet the challenges of the market economy .

Generally speaking, there is no problem with FIBC bags that pass the lifting test. If the bags really fall off when they are used on ports, railways or trucks, there are only two cases: one is the operation incorrect way, and the other is that the container bag fails the lifting test.

Bulk container bag products have a wide range of applications, especially for packaging bulk cement, grain, chemical raw materials, feed, starch, minerals and other powder and granular objects, and even dangerous goods such as calcium carbide. It is very convenient for loading, unloading, transportation and storage. FIBC products are in the rising stage of development, especially the one-ton pallet form (one pallet holds one FIBC). These packaging bags are more and more popular.

The standardization of the domestic packaging industry lags behind the development of the packaging industry. The formulation of some standards is inconsistent with the actual production, and the content is still at the level of more than ten years ago. For example, the "Container Bag" standard was formulated by the transportation department, the "Cement Bag" standard was formulated by the building materials department, the "Geotextile" standard was formulated by the textile department, and the "Woven Bag" standard was formulated by the plastics department. Due to the lack of pertinence of product use and full consideration of the interests of the industry, there is still no unified, effective and balanced standard.

Calcium carbide is a dangerous substance that is flammable and explosive when exposed to temperature, which requires high packaging. There is a container bag made of multi-layer composite material, which can pack dangerous goods such as calcium carbide. The capacity is one ton. The bag body is composed of outer, middle and inner layers. The outer bag is made of laminated plastic woven, the inner bag is made of polyethylene film, and there are four to five layers of special composite materials suitable for packaging such as calcium carbide. This kind of container bag has better sealability, higher strength and lower cost. Compared with traditional iron drum packaging, it reduces transportation costs by more than 10%, and the loss of powder is only one-tenth, which is economical. Greatly improve.

The use of FIBC bags in the domestic markets has been expanding, and the export of these bags for special purposes such as calcium carbide and minerals is also increasing. Therefore, the market demand potential of FIBC products is great, and the development prospects are in a very broad way.
