1. Base fabric material

When designing a ton bag, first understand the weight of the loaded goods, and determine the volume of the ton bag according to the specific gravity of the packaged material. It also depends on whether the loaded material is a sharp and solid block material. If so, the base fabric should be a little thicker when designing a ton bag, and a little thinner on the contrary. In practical design, for ton bags with a load of 500kg, the base fabric is generally (150-170) G/m2, the longitudinal and transverse tensile strength of the base fabric is (1470-1700) N/5cm, and the elongation is 20-35%. The base fabric is generally selected (170~210) G/m2, the longitudinal and transverse tensile strength of the base fabric is (1700-2000) N/5cm, and the elongation is 20~35%.

2. Structural design

When designing the ton bag structure, the national standard stipulates that the strength of the waistband should be more than twice the strength of the base fabric, but in practice this design effect is not good, because the strength of the base fabric and the waistband are not the same, causing the base fabric to crack first. In the design, the waistband and the base fabric are made of base fabrics with opposite strengths, which can prevent this problem.

3. Sewing process

In addition to the sewing requirements according to the national standard rules, the ton bag also needs to consider the aging resistance of the stitching and the effect of the sewing on the tensile strength of the base fabric. When packaging powdery, toxic, or decontaminated items, the first thing to do is to deal with airtightness. Therefore, in the practical design, the ton bag is sewn with thick thread and fine needle or non-woven fabric and the base fabric to improve the tightness. In addition, when sewing ton bags, it is required to use polyester thread with a strength of more than 18kg to ensure that the sewing strength reaches the national standard.

4. Monofilament strength

To ensure the strength of the base fabric for the ton bag, the tensile strength of the flat yarn must be improved. The absolute strength of the flat wire should reach more than 0.4N/tex, and the elongation rate should be 15-30%. In the actual production and processing process, it is necessary to strictly control the amount of filler masterbatch, usually about 2%. If the masterbatch is excessively added, or the recycled material is added, the strength of the base fabric will be reduced. Therefore, the quality of raw materials should be strictly controlled, and the ton bag should be made of drawing raw materials produced by regular manufacturers whose melt index reaches the national standard.

5. Lifting belts material selection

In the design of ton bags, the selection of sling materials is crucial. The national standard clearly stipulates a safety factor of 1:6. In the practical design of ton bags, firstly, we must consider the loss of the strength of the sling during the sewing process, and secondly, we must consider the hoisting method. For example, for a ton bag with a load of 500kg, the sling generally uses (50-60) g/m, and the tensile force is (1300-1800) N/m; )N/m, the request sling must reach the weaving density request. When designing a sling for a ton bag, two or four rings can be used to increase the tensile strength.

6. Whether to add additives

In order to improve the anti-aging ability of plastic ton bags under sunlight, a certain amount of anti-violet agent and stabilizer should be added in the flat yarn drawing process. According to the length of the service period of the ton bag (six months or one year), the amount of addition is determined, usually between (0.1~3)%. Some companies add anti-aging masterbatch made of stabilizer, anti-violet agent and other additives, and the effect is also very good.
